Tie-break Statistics (TBS)

The table below displays the average number of sets played per tie-break at each individual tournament (1997-2007).

A useful way to gage court speeds is to see how often a tie-break is contested (Based on the theory that the quicker the surface then the harder it is to break serve, thus resulting in more tie-breaks).

The figure has been reached by dividing the total number of sets played by the total number of tie-breaks played, dating back to 1997.
